Press Contact: Debra Reed
Deland, FL. - Liberty IRB, Inc. (LIRB), a leader in providing independent human research protection services, proudly announces its full accreditation status by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) www.aahrpp.org.
AAHRPP is a non-profit organization created to work with organizations that conduct human research or oversee ethical review of human research. AAHRPP accredits only the highest quality protection programs that promote excellent, ethically sound research, surpassing state and federal regulations. Accreditation is also about peer review, self regulation and establishing the highest standards of ethical conduct. It is about continuous improvement. Liberty IRB has met these high standards.
“We have dedicated countless hours of professional resources to achieve full AAHRPP accreditation,” said Mare Ryan, Founder and President of LIRB. “This voluntary but rigorous process required that every detail of our business, including staff, our board and policies and procedures be examined and described. Even so, it was worthwhile because it lets our investigators, CROs and Sponsors know that we are committed to excellence.”
Cheryl Talaber, Vice President of Liberty comments, “Accreditation validates our commitment to provide a program that fully addresses human subject protection and quality research. We at Liberty embrace higher standards than those required by law and have built extensive safeguards at every level to ensure that protection. We hope that accreditation will lead to an increased level of public trust.”
Liberty IRB, Inc. (LIRB) was established in 2003 as an independent institutional review board or IRB. LIRB is a leading provider of IRB services for clients nationwide. Liberty provides ethical review for Phase I-IV research in a variety of therapeutic areas. LIRB is a member of the Consortium of Independent Review Boards (CIRB) and WBENC.
