The Board

The Liberty IRB Board is comprised of a highly qualified and diverse group of individuals, both lay and scientific, who meet the regulations for IRB membership. Each member has a deep concern for subject welfare and is experienced with the approval process. Consultants from across the United States provide important information on local community attitudes and changes in state regulation. Liberty IRB strives to maintain the cultural diversity necessary to adequately protect our human research subjects. To learn more click on the Board Membership Roster link.

All Liberty IRB members receive initial and ongoing education on the protection of human subject rights. Scientific, ethical, community and administrative perspectives are represented and integrated into the application of ethical research concepts.

Board Meetings

Liberty IRB members meet all federal requirements for board composition. To ensure adequate reviews, the board members receive all submitted materials prior to scheduled meetings. IRB meetings are scheduled weekly to facilitate rapid study document turn around. Board decisions are conveyed in writing within two business days of the meeting.

Pre-Board Submission Reviews

All information received from the investigator will be assigned to a Liberty Project Manager who will personally manage your submission. Project Managers work to complete initial review of study documents and work with you to obtain missing information. Following review, your Project Manager will contact you to relay board decisions. Liberty IRB strives to provide friendly, courteous service to our investigators, CROs, SMOs and sponsors.
